In 2009 we undertook an in-depth survey into the habits of over 200 highly successful UK-based salespeople. We set up some strict criteria including:
- direct involvement in the sales process in 2009
- a minimum of 5 years experience in selling
- recognised by at least one organisation as being successful
- an average income over the last 3 years of £50,000/annum.
We wanted to identify what it was that made them so successful, and we used the findings to help us write our book, ‘Brilliant Selling: what the best sales people know, say and do’.
We thought the findings made interesting reading and have put them into a short and thought provoking Executive Summary, focusing on what we consider to be the most interesting and relevant elements for sales professionals.
